Literature Text

She whispered sweet words of encouragement to me
As I walked across the palm of her hand
With shaking limbs and unsteady feet.
My voyage was silent, even as I walked over her Apollo's Mound
Where her affection naturally swelled,
fit to bursting.
"I love you," I said on a sigh.
"It's been a while, and it will be a while yet,
and I'm sorry.
But I love you."
At this, she said nothing,
But she allowed me a glimpse into her future,
A future, I noticed,
I would not be a part of.
I realized upon this look into her inevitable future
that she
was not
for me.
Wrote this with my fingers half frozen after a long walk out in the snow. Ahh, nature.

This is really beautiful, Zie. Like I had a real emotional reaction there.

Keep doing what you're doing.
